Happy New Year,

           I hope you all had a safe and happy holidays.  Now that all of the festivities are over it's time to get back to the usual routine.  There's work to do but there also has to be time for some fun.  The Upper Deck is just the place for you to have that fun.  We have plenty of events to keep you occupied and have fun at the same time.  This Saturday night we have a big birthday celebration for Bart.  Make plans to be here for a great party.  Then on January 11-17 we have the first of our winter specials where all rooms are $29.95 plus tax.  If you can't make it then try again January 25-31 and February 16-28.  Check our website for the event calendar and sign up to get our weekly e-mail letter.  Just send us your e-mail address...it's that simple to keep abreast of happenings on South Padre and the Upper Deck Hotel & Bar.

          We had a good crowd this past week.  It was pretty busy around here.  We had a festive New Year's Eve party and the hotel was full.  Guests with us this week included Chris and his partner from Austin.  Michael was down from Houston.  Don and Jimmy were here from the Bayou City as well.  Charlie was here from New York and he had occasional visitors like Steve, Henry and Jack.  Lee spent the week with us from New Mexico.  John was another New Mexican here with us.  C R came down to party from Oklahoma City.  Clint and Nick were here from the valley.  Marc amd Michael came down from Louisiana for a few days.  Paul and his partner were down from  Houston.  Rey visited from Mcallen.  Andrew also living in Mcallen and his friend Brian from Michigan were here to party. Ken and Mike were here from Laguna Vista.  Larry and David from Laguna Vista and New Mexico were here too.  Robert visited from Kansas.  Cynthia and her girlfriend were down from Houston.  James and his b/f made it down from San Antonio.  Dan was here from Corpus Christi.  John and his boyfriend were here from San Antone.  Bobby and Randy visited from Austin.  John and Randy were hre from Harlingen.  Deborah and Marie were here fro  Harlingen as well.  Paul and Franz came down from Missouri.  John and Kevin were here from Houston.  Anthony was here from Indiana.  Doug came down from houston for a few days.  Gary was here from Victoria.  Ruben and Gabriel were here from Mcallen.  So we had a busy and fun-filled week.  We hope to see more of you throughout the coming year and remember you are always welcome at the Upper Deck Hotel & Bar.
